Mathematical Proof

“Do the math!” is often used as a euphemism for, “Add-up all the facts and evidence and you will reach the inescapable truth.” This is certainly applicable to the multiple layers of “Verifiable Proof the Bible is God’s Truth.” Two renowned scientists and mathematicians, Leonard Fibonacci and Ivan Panin, have literally “done the math” for creation and Scripture and reached some astonishing conclusions.

The Fibonacci Sequence has been confirmed, but lacks explanation

Precise calculations by advanced mathematicians have conclusively affirmed the existence of the Fibonacci sequence, yet, lack any explanation of why it exists. The consensus is that randomly “evolved” or spontaneously “combusted” things simply do not exhibit consistently identifiable mathematical patterns in their construction! Yet, the mathematical precision found in these shapes, numbers, spirals and proportionate symmetry have been documented throughout nature. This provides compelling evidence of “intelligent design” and all but rules-out explanations of blind chance, random selection or incremental evolution’ as impossible, if not irrational.

Planet Revolution around the Sun

The revolution of the planets in days correlates to Fibonacci numbers and spiral arrangement of leaves on plants. –When the time of each planet’s revolution around the sun is compared in round numbers to the one adjacent to it, their fractions are Fibonacci numbers! Beginning with Neptune7 and moving inward toward the sun, the ratios are 1/2, 1/3, 2/5, 3/8, 5/13, 8/21, and 13/34. (These are the same as the spiral arrangement of leaves on plants!)

DNA, Cells and Atoms

Consistent structures and patterns matching the Fibonacci Sequence have been documented by geneticists in DNA sequences, atomic scientists in subatomic particles and molecular biologists in cell structures. None have explained these sequences … beyond intelligent design. Nobel prize winning scientists have consistently documented inexplicable mathematical relationships throughout the universe and life itself.

The number seven occurs in Scripture (Greek and Hebrew texts) in multiples of seven.

(the word seven appears 287 times in the Old Testament, while the word “seventh” occurs 98 times and the word “seven-fold” appears seven times and the word “seventy” occurs 56 times. Each of these and the cumulative total is a multiple of seven (amazing, considering Scripture was written by 40 writers over 1,500-years!). This is only an inkling of the “hidden” pattern of sevens (discovered by Ivan Panin) providing mathematical evidence of the verbal and plenary inspiration of Scripture (in the original Greek and Hebrew languages). Like Fibonacci’s sequences in nature, Panin provided significant mathematical proof of God’s divine inspiration of Scripture.

there are no separate symbols for numbers, letters of the alphabet are also used to indicate numbers. The numeric value of a word is the sum total of all its letters. It was curiosity that first caused Panin to begin toying with the numbers behind the texts. Sequences and patterns began to emerge. He soon discovered that the complex numeric patterns saturated every book of the Bible. However, the patterns were not found anywhere outside of the Bible or anywhere in the Apocrypha.

Professors on the mathematics faculty at Harvard University attempted to disprove the significance of Panin’s discovery

as proof of divine authorship, but were unable to refute or replicate it. The Harvard scientists even artificially assigned numeric values to the English alphabet, giving them a potential vocabulary of 400,000 available English words to construct a sentence about any topic that could match the Bible’s patterns. (Comparatively, the biblical Hebrew language had only forty-five hundred available word choices the Old Testament writers could use). Despite their advanced mathematical abilities and access to computers, the Harvard mathematicians could not come close to incorporating 30 mathematical multiples of 7 as found in the Hebrew words of Genesis 1:1. Panin’s phenomenal numbers pattern has been examined by numerous scholars over many years who have verified the figures. The phenomenon becomes even more astonishing (if possible), when one realizes the change of asingle letter or word in the original Hebrew or Greek languages would destroy the entire pattern! [Perhaps this was the preservation of God’s inspiration of Scripture Jesus spoke of:“For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” (Matthew 5:18 – KJV).]

Mathematician Leonardo Fibonacci (1170-1240 AD) first documented consistent numerical sequences in 1200 AD. The numerical patterns or sequences follow a series of integer numbers: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, ad infinitum. Each number in the Fibonacci Sequence is the sum of the previous two numbers.These numerically-based sequences are universally consistent through out nature. They are evident in the measurement of things as diverse as hurricanes, spiral seed pods, the cochlea of the human ear, a ram’s horn,a sea horse’s tail,beehives, DNA molecules, tornado’s, galaxies, petals and seeds in sunflowers, dandelions and the rotation of planets around the sun,etc.
